Montessori schooling is an educational system that is an “aid to life,” helping children develop intelligence and independence at an early age. The Montessori environment is set up with areas in Language, Mathematics, Sensorial, Activities, Culture, and Practical Life. Everything is child-sized, with beautiful, self-correcting materials arranged on low shelves enabling autonomy and empowerment. Our educators provide lessons; students are free to choose which to explore. Subjects of our Montessori academics include Music, Art, P.E., Spanish, Computer Sciences, and more.

Transition

By age three, children have developed the foundation of their personality as individuals. They learn everything through sensory experiences, so explanations are given thoughtfully to encourage understanding and growth. Guided by their inward teacher, students develop dignity and become the architect of their own minds.

Primary

Considered the “conscious phase” of the absorbent mind, the primary stage of development is when children are able to concentrate and work freely in the Montessori environment, exercising self-discipline and peace. Through care and guidance, children can come to terms with themselves and the world. Students will develop a love of “work,” or child-led activities, and order, enabling them to find joy in their independence and initiative.
